Wow today was a very long day...I need to get to bed...it's almost midnight!
My day started at 7 am when I heard Panda doing her morning howl. She thought it was time to start the day. How nice...maybe she will let me sleep in eventually. So I got up and let all of the doggies out, cleaned the puppies bed etc. I spent about 1/2 an hour watering and fixing some plants. For those who have seen all of my plants that was a quick water session! I have a room dedicated to plants, with a greenhouse stand in it...plus plants in every windowsill, doorway, table, stand etc. I love love love plants. They got a bit of TLC in the morning.
My cousin came to visit around 10:30. She loved playing with the 2 little puppies and seeing Panda Bear and Finnigan. My cousin isn't much of a dog person, but she likes the little puppies. As long as my other dogs don't try and sit on her she is ok!
Jake came home around 11:30 and we all had breakfast/lunch...he doesn't know what meal time is anymore now that he's working nights. Instead of taking a nap he just decided to start working on the siding and finishing up the back portion of our house. Another friend stopped by to see the dogs and plants (yes the plants...). We had a planting 'party' here a month and a half ago and we planted a whole bunch of stuff for our gardens. Because I have the room for the plants (haha tell that to Jake!) everyone left their plants here for me to care for! Little Jess took her's home today because she is moving to a cottage for the summer. It's kindof funny, my two good friend's are both called Jess...so we have Little Jess and Big Jess. Big Jess is now pregnant and I get to be an auntie!! Well enough of them and the plants... (I will post pictures another time of all of my plants!)
I left for tutoring (work...but I love my job) at 4:00. I tutor on monday, tuesday and thursdays in the evening. I love it. I have students ranging from grades 3-grade 11. I mostly tutor math and chemistry/biology. On another note...I was accepted to Western University for teacher's college! So I will be commuting to Western in the fall while Jake is home during the day...looking after the doggies! I applied to be a high school biology teacher. Looking forward to that!
When I got home from tutoring at 8:30, Jake was already asleep and I'm still up...just let the dogs out one final time and they are all asleep in their crates or in the bedroom. I didn't even get everything finished this evening! There are always sooo many emails to answer! Guess I will have to tackle them all tomorrow...oh man, Finnigan goes home tomorrow too! I will miss that little guy! Goodnight everyone!

Fur and Feather!!
Today was our 'family' day at the Fur n' Feather in Mount Forest. It is a sale that happens twice a year. I have been going with my family since before I can remember. It is more of a social event for us now...but we still love looking at all of the different animals and things for sale (not to mention the amazing sausages that we get for breakfast/lunch!). This year I was able to get 2 new x-pens for a really great price! We use our x-pens for our puppies when they are younger or it is bad weather.
Our day started at 5 am. My sister had slept over at our house so that she could come with us to Mount Forest. We fed and played with the dogs before putting them in the house while we were gone. At 5:45 we picked up our best friend's Jess and Tyler, and at 6:45 am we were at the sale!
Panda came with us to the sale. I swear everyone wanted to buy her! There are often lots of puppies for sale, and it is really buyer beware. There is good and there is bad, and it is really up to each person to talk to the breeders and see if they get a good vibe and see if the puppies are coming from a reputable place.
All in all, it was a great time! We had a lunch bbq at my dad's house afterwards followed by some heavy duty euchre championship games! Our family is big into cards! The doodles were quite happy to see us return...and Panda had such a busy day she has been passed out here on the couch all evening!
It was my baby brother's birthday yesterday! Gregory is the goof in the family (every family has one!). Greg goes to school at UOIT in Oshawa. He is studying automotive engineering! Happy 21st b-day Greg!

All nighter!
This time it wasn't me pulling the all nighter...it was my mom!
Tink had her puppies yesterday morning. On her xray it showed 3 puppies, but unfortunately one little cream boy was stillborn, so Tink has 1 chocolate boy and 1 chocolate girl. Stillborn puppies are somewhat common...not in every litter, but it does happen. Tink and her 2 puppies are doing just fine.
Like mother, like daughter...Ginger thought it would be great to have her puppies on the same day! Ginger started having her puppies around 9:30 at night. We saw 5 puppies on the xray, and she had 5 healthy babies! Ginger has 2 chocolates and 3 dark apricots/reds. Ginger and her puppies are in my mom's bedroom, and Tink and her babies are in the kitchen. I joked that my mom should just get bed rails and have them all on her bed!
Hopefully my mom will send me some photos shortly! She sent me a couple in the middle of the night, but sometimes my mom wins the award for worst photographer...and at 2:30 am she definitely won first place!
Last night we had a family go to my mom's house to visit the puppies, and they took our last black male puppy home with them! Now we just have 2 cream boys available from Montana.
With everything going on today with puppies going home again, we didn't make it to the vet for Panda's vaccines, so we will go tomorrow. We are working on her leash training now because we want to take her to our family get together on sunday. Hopefully she will learn really quickly!!! This is Panda and Mona today...keeping a watchful eye on Mona's babies!

puppies going home...
2 more puppies are going home today (goodbye Stanley and Marshall!!). They are being picked up at my mom's house. Tomorrow I have 2 puppies (1 of Minnie's and 1 of Montana's) being picked up from my house! Busy, busy days!
Mona and her 2 babies are doing great. The puppies are getting much bigger. Their eyes aren't open yet, and they are really just big blobs!
Panda is going back to the vets tomorrow for her 2nd vaccinations. She is learning how to walk on a leash a little bit. We are planning on taking her to our family get-together on sunday. Everyone in my family loves her...in their eyes, she can do no wrong! She fetches already and brings it right back to you. As she's coming back with the ball she talks the entire time. That is such a funny thing about her! She talks alot (and she talks back!). Whenever she wants something, she just sits infront of us and goes "roo-roo- rooooooo". It is too cute. So much different than the doodles though. Our doodles are not vocal like that at all! Panda talks for all of them now!
Ahhhh I almost forgot! My mom called me this morning!!! Tink has puppies, and Ginger will be having hers shortly too...she has been nesting all day, and she keeps trying to get under my mom's bed! More updates later when I have all of the details! It was just a quick call this morning, and she had to rush off to get Marshall and Stanley ready.

Pregnancy Confirmed!!!
Yeah finally! Jersey had an ultrasound and she is pregnant! We didn't want to announce it on our site just in case. We had bred Jersey in the fall, but she had other ideas and didn't get pregnant. Now we are having a summer litter! Jersey was bred to Mickey and we will have F2 labradoodles. Here are some pictures of their last litter.
We may have another litter in the works as well! Stay tuned for more information!!

Mondays...
It was a typical monday for us. Jake got home from work at 11 am (He started a new job 2 weeks ago and works nights now). We had breakfast, played with the dogs in the yard and then everyone crashed on either the dog beds or the couch (most of the time there isn't room for Jake and I in the living room and we find ourselves sitting on the coffee table...there is definitely something wrong with that picture!) Panda and Finnigan did really well with their house training yet again. They walk over to the door and we both have to make sure that we see them waiting there for us!
Yesterday our dogs decided that the grass is greener on the other side, and Lola dug under the fence to frolick in the neighbor's tiny pond. It scared us to death, but we have fixed the hole and are making sure that they don't get any other crazy ideas!!
I talked with my mom today and all of the puppies at her house are doing great! Minnie and Montana's litters were raised at her house this time. Both girls have gone back to their guardian families but the puppies are still there and keeping everyone busy!
Montana is now retired from our program and she goes in for her spay in a couple of weeks. It is always a bittersweet time for us. She lives with a great guardian family.
We only have 2 1/2 weeks left before Blaze's puppies come! This is Blaze's final litter and we are super excited to see her babies. We will be keeping 2 of her puppies to carry on in her name! Blaze will have her puppies at our house in Guelph. This is the happy couple below!!
Ginger and Tink are both due this week! From their xrays, Ginger is expecting 5 babies and Stinky Tinky is going to have 3!!

Roll Call
Our home....a work in progress, but we love it! This is a photo of our house taken one month after we bought it! The photo is from September 2006. We wish we had taken photos when we first took possession so that we can do before and after pics...it was a mess! It still looks like a mess in this photo!
The backyard...September 2006.
Our house in May 2007.
It looks much different now, as we have resided the whole house...I will have to take newer pictures! We also have plans for a revamped front yard. Hopefully, we will work on that this spring/summer!

First Day of Blogging...
After being told time and time again that I needed to start a blog...I have finally taken the plunge! My mom keeps saying that I should start one. Here we go!
Today is saturday, and saturday's are usually a day of cleaning, organizing, watering the plants etc. We often have a lot of visitors on saturdays, but only one family coming later on this evening.
Mona and her 2 babies are doing great! She is an awesome awesome mom. The puppies are sooo fat and content.
I also wanted to introduce our newest addition here. She is not a doodle, but I am a huge sap and she is sooo cute! Her name is Panda.

Panda is a siberian husky. She came to live with us when she was just 3 weeks old. I was helping to raise her for my brother, but I grew too attached! How can I resist that cute face! Mona adopted her as soon as she came. Now that Mona has her new puppies, Panda doesn't get as much 'mommy-time', but Mona still likes to spends time with her Panda Bear.
