I got a new camera for our anniversary and I am just getting used to shooting fully in manual. So much to learn and keep learning!

Tristan's birthday present!

No he didn't get his own puppy yet! LOL But the BBQ was awesome. We had a special reason for wanting everyone to be together. This is what Tristan got from Jake and I...

I posted all of the new pictures on the website, not the blog this time. This weekend we are not having any visitors because it is Tristan's first birthday party! We are having a big BBQ in the park with all of our family. Lots of fun and games on saturday!

now presenting Missy's news!

Geez they don't like to give us a break! Last night I got another call for teaching, which would make it my 10th teaching day. I needed to take the job because it will ensure I am hired for next year as well! I only started accepting work in May, so this was great! Jake was picking up a trailer for my cousin, so we called my mom again. I joked with her on the phone that because Jake and I are both leaving, Missy will have her puppies!

Jake left at 5am, and I left at 7:30am. Tristan was so nice to my mom...he didn't wake up until 10:17am! What a champion sleeper, because he was asleep since 8:30pm! I had let all of the dogs out already, fed and cleaned everyone so it wasn't necessary for my mom to do much with the dogs. Turns out she heard commotion at 9am...it was Missy having puppies! So of course, the conclusion that we have come to is that my mom puts dogs into labor! Last time she babysat Tristan, both Miley and Jersey had puppies!

So Missy ended up with 10 puppies in total, 8 chocolates and 2 apricots. There are 6 females (all chocolates) and 4 males (2 chocolate, 2 apricot). These puppies are definitely Mowgley's babies, which shocked us based on her progesterone testing for optimal breeding days. Oh well! Mother nature knows best!

Missy - 10

Yes that is 45 puppies! It isn't too too bad right now, but in 4-5 weeks look out! That's a lot of puppies that will be running around!

I will take litter pictures of Lola and Missy's puppies tomorrow morning and then hopefully post tomorrow night as I am going to my sister-in-law's baby shower!

Lola's puppies!

On tuesday Lola had her litter of all chocolate puppies! It was a very long delivery...but it makes sense because she has 13 puppies in total! There are 7 boys and 6 girls. We are constantly doing a head count, but Lola is such a great mom and likes to keep everyone in a nice line! She has her work cut out for her in the next few weeks with all of those mouths to feed!

Yikes it is busy here! With Jersey and Miley's puppies just opening their eyes and getting slightly more mobile, we have our hands full!

In the early morning hours on saturday, Macie delivered a litter of 7 little babies. She was a GREAT first time mom for her delivery. No crazy antics, panting, puffing, twirling around. The puppies came out so easily and Macie knew exactly how to handle herself. We are so proud of our Macie! She has 4 girls and 3 boys. They are all chocolates, some with cute little white toes and chests! I will post pictures this evening, along with new pictures of Jersey and Miley's puppies.
